Monoï, meaning "scented oil" in Polynesian, is the result of the successful combination of two typical products of the islands: Coconut (Cocos nucifera) and the Tiare flower (Gardenia Tahitensis). 

The coconut flesh dried in the hot tropical sun is then processed to obtain a precious oil with well-known softening, smoothing and protective properties. Tiare flowers, symbol of Tahiti and typical adornment of local women, are soaked in this oil to enrich it with their warm and intoxicating fragrance.

Monoï de Tahiti is a typical aspect of Polynesian culture handed down from ancient times, traditionally used for beauty and to perfume the skin and hair.

An original product of the Polynesian Archipelago, Monoï de Tahiti is a high quality product with Controlled Designation of Origin guaranteeing its provenance and a preparation method respectful of the most genuine local traditions. It is the main constituent of a new range of products by Helan to be used in the sun or simply for daily care, formulated to protect and nourish your skin and hair.

The Monoï de Tahiti range is further enriched with Tamanu oil (Calophyllum inophyllum), obtained from another Polynesian tree growing by the sea and coral reefs. Considered for centuries as “sacred oil” by Pacific populations, Tamanu is a rich source of polyunsaturated fatty acids and repairs damages caused by excessive sun or wind exposure. Its softening and regenerating properties make it ideal for sensitive and dry skin.

Gentle Hair and Body Wash
	- Suitable for dry, bleached, coloured hair and hair that is exposed to chemical agents like chlorine. - Gentle enough to be used on hair, face and body. A clean body and beautiful hair with a single, effective product. Formulated with selected vegetable based cleansing agents and enriched with the softening, nourishing properties of pure Monoï. - 150ml
After Sun Shampoo
	- Suitable for dry, bleached, coloured hair and hair that is exposed to chemical agents like chlorine. - For Colour Protection Treatment, Anti-Dangle and Anti-Dryness. The innovative formula of this After Sun Shampoo is free from SLS, SLES and preservatives and is particularly gentle in order to prevent from impoverishing the hair fibre. A specific complex for colour protection, obtained from Wasabi japonica, aims at stopping the “colour fading” and ensuring that your hair remains shining and natural. Use: Spread a knob of product onto wet hair with a gentle massage. Rinse thoroughly with  warm or cold water.
After Sun Detangling Conditioner
	If hair is long and after every swim tends to tangle and therefore it is difficult to comb it, the Detangling Conditioner is the ideal product to use always after the Shampoo. From its first application, you notice its effects on your hair that immediately looks soft and shining. The nourishing and polishing properties of the Monoi de Tahiti, the Cupuaçu butter and the oil extracted from the Brazilian nut are combined with the activity of free antiradicals of Vitamin E for an effective restructuring action. The anti-fade complex from Wasabi japonica prevents the colour "fading" by ensuring the top natural shine and by protecting your hair without making look dull. Use: After a normal wash, apply the Conditioner generously, comb your hair with a wood wide-tooth comb ensuring an even distribution of the product. Let it set for a few minutes, then rinse out thoroughly with warm or cold water. Use it after every wash, except when you apply the mask.
Hair Oil Treatment
	A proper barrier which screens damaging sun radiations by coating hair with an invisible protective film, non-greasy, which stops the excessive contact with sea salt and chlorine and prevents hair tangling. Thanks to the Monoi de Tahiti, the Vitamin E and the free antiradicals, this oil has an effective conditioning and nourishing action on dry, knackered, frizzy, permed and coloured hair. It contains sun filters for screening UV A and B radiations and protects shine and intensity of the  hair colour without making hair become dull. Use: Apply on the whole hair length, dry or damp, before sun exposure by carefully spreading it with a wood wide-tooth comb. It is important to always spread it on ends which are the most fragile part. Apply more than once in the course of the day if you swim often and for long periods.
After Sun Nourishing and Restructuring Mask
	- To eliminate frizz and calm rebellious curls. This soft cream contains a high concentration of restructuring agents which repair in depth the hair fibre dried by sun, sand, chlorine and sea salt.            The nourishing and polishing properties of the Monoi de Tahiti, of Cupuaçu butter and the oil extracted from the Brazilian Nut together with the activity of free antiradicals of Vitamins B5 and E carry on an effective restructuring action which gives softness and silkiness back even to the most damaged and stringy hair. The anti-fade complex from Wasabi japonica prevents the colour “fading” by ensuring the top natural shine. Use: Apply on washed and pat-dried hair massaging with your fingers and focusing on the ends. Wrap your hair in cling film to create a warm-damp environment which enhances the effect of  the active ingredients. Let it set for at least five minutes, then rinse well with warm water to eliminate any product deposits which, if let on your hair could make it look dull. Use once a week if you have oily hair, twice for normal hair, three times for dry and knackered hair. When using the Mask, do not apply the Conditioner.
Volumising Restructuring Serum
	An effective beauty treatment which gives matchless shine, silkiness and brilliance back to you hair. Dry and stringy hair, easily breakable and with split ends, benefits from the properties of the Monoi de Tahiti oil from the first application. This oil has a nourishing, shining and lubricating action that is essential for the beauty of your hair. The Restructuring Serum, coating the stem of every single hair with a thin layer, like a very small sheath which joins together split ends, increases hair volume and has a very important protective action against atmospheric agents such as sun, wind and humidity. Use : apply few drops of Serum on scalp and ends on either dry hair or, after shampooing and conditioning, damp hair. For a better distribution of the product, pass your hands through your hair as if you were combing it, starting from the scalp and then moving towards the ends. Do not rinse : leaving the serum in contact with hair for long periods intensifies its restructuring and volumizing action.
