The use of high quality hair care products is vital to cleanse gently with the utmost respect for the physiology of the hair.
Coherent with the principles of natural cosmetology, Helan always formulated fully skin-compatible, hypoallergenic, effective products; the hair care range is no exception, and the evolution in the selection of components has been constant and full of achievements.
Helan has been able to create formulas with vegetable based surface-active agents (sugars derived from sugar cane, beet, wheat and corn, combined with fatty acids of coconut palm), thus completely avoiding dangerous detergents like SLS (Sodium lauryl sulfate) and SLES (Sodium laureth sulfate). It is also preservative free.

The advantages in using natural detergents are manifest from both a dermatological and ecological point of view:

Chamomile and Red Centaury Shampoo
	- For frequent use on fair and delicate hair. Chamomile flower-heads extract combined with Centaury leaves extract has a natural lightening effect, making blond hair brighter and highlight chestnut hair. The gentleness of the vegetable base in this shampoo will protect the physiological balance of the scalp and the integrity of the hair structure, allowing daily use to keep hair in perfect condition. .   - 250ml
Walnut and Calizaya Shampoo
	- For frequent use on dark and delicate hair. Walnut leaves and husks extract combined with mildly astringent Calisaya bark gives greater shine to dark hair. The gentleness of the vegetable base in this shampoo will protect the physiological balance of the scalp and the integrity of the hair structure, allowing daily use to keep hair in perfect condition.     - 250ml
Nettle, Ivy and Watercress Shampoo
	- For oily hair. A normalizing, sebum balancing shampoo for hair that becomes dirty too quickly and appears heavy and greasy. This means an overproduction of sebum, which may be caused by wrong nutrition, hormone activity or hereditary causes. Too often however, aggressive detergents worsen the problem by stimulating sebum glands.  This shampoo can represent a solution: effective but gentle cleansing, that does not weaken the scalp and provides normalizing and sebum balancing elements.   - 250ml
Conifer Wood and Bark Shampoo
	- Anti-dandruff. Dandruff consists of small scales of dead skin caused by acceleration in the metabolism of scalp cells and hyperactivity of the sebaceous glands. It is often accompanied by the presence of yeast (Pityrosporum ovalis) altering the bacterial flora.  The solution to this unpleasant condition is a shampoo that can fight the yeast causing irritation, while effectively but gently cleansing to remove flaky skin without further irritation. Conifer Wood and Bark Shampoo does exactly this, with a natural detergent base and a blend of essential oils distilled the wood and bark of fir, pine and larch trees. The anti-dandruff action of this shampoo can be immediately noticed in the reduction of itching.  From the first use, flaky skin is gradually removed, oiliness is noticeably reduced and hair becomes soft, bouncy and easy to comb. - 250ml
Honey and Pollen Shampoo
	- For dry, lifeless hair. Nourishing and volumising. Although healthy, thin hair has lower natural defences against aggressions; it tends to break easily and to form split ends. Its beauty can be easily enhanced with nourishing products that promote the smoothness of keratin fibres and revitalize the hair to leave it softer and full of body. Honey and Pollen Shampoo is rich in all the trace elements, proteins and vitamins found in the products of the beehive; it strengthens hair-ends and increases hair resistance and volume, making it shiny and manageable.   - 250ml
Honey and Pollen Conditioning Mask
	-Nourishing, strengthening and volumising. The main purpose of a good conditioner applied after shampooing is to detangle hair, reduce fly-aways, add volume and manageability.  To obtain all of the above, Helan’s conditioner has acid pH and uses the synergistic action of various ingredients that make this a complete product in every respect. Jojoba oil has a surprisingly similar composition to that of our skin sebum; Honey has softening, emollient properties; Pollen is rich in amino acids and trace elements; Wheat protein completes the nourishing and strengthening action.  A real beauty mask that makes hair really soft and manageable, repairs split ends and adds shine, body and volume. - 100ml
Wheat Protein Shampoo
	- For brittle and damaged hair. Stregthening and simulating. Hair can be damaged by stress, fatigue, weak physical conditions to the point of causing hair loss. When hair is suffering, a great help can come from nourishing elements that revive the roots and promote the growth of strong, healthy hair.  Wheat and Soy protein rich in amino acids and peptides, a balanced amount of mineral salts and D-Panthenol give hair the necessary nourishment to favour its strength and beauty.  The gentle action of the natural cleansing base contributes to the visible improvement in the appearance of the hair. - 250ml
3 Vitamins Lotion
	- For intensive treatment against white hair and hair loss. D-Panthenol, nicotinamide and biotin are the three vitamins in this lotion: they give nourishment and revitalize the hair. D-Panthenol promotes hair growth, maintaining its natural colour and preventing whitening. Vitamin PP (nicotinamide) is stimulating, while Vitamin PP (biotin) and Hop are effective in hair development.  The combination of all these elements results in an excellent lotion to treat brittle, devitalized and aging hair.   - 12 x 10ml
Jojoba Oil
	- Restructuring, nourishing, strengthening. Contains rice bran oil. Helan’s Jojoba Oil, cold pressed from Californian Simmondsia, maintains all the properties of this plant well known to the Aztecs and Apache Indians for its emollient and lubricating power on hair and scalp.  The composition, surprisingly similar to that of skin sebum, makes this oil an excellent friend of our hair, that strengthens and nourishes for a soft, voluminous result.  The addition of Rice Bran oil, a natural UV filter, protects hair in the sun.   - 150ml
Jojoba Fluid
	- For dry hair and spilt-ends. Dry, damaged hair that tends to break and form split ends will benefit from the lubricating properties of sebum-like Jojoba from the first application, while Hop extract favours healthy hair growth.  The combined action of these two natural substances is immediately effective in smoothing keratin fibres and split ends, while promoting healthy and voluminous hair.
